Getting wet in my Yaris

Hi Everybody,

I'm new here, so if this has been asked before, please forgive me as I can't find a post referring to this problem.

I kept wondering why it seemed that the door panel never seemed to dry out after it had been valeted when I bought the car, but now I know why. The window does not seal properly.

When you close the window, it gets to the top and then opens about half way again, and the only way to close it as fully as possible is to stop the car, have one hand on the ignition key and one on the window switch. Close the window and when it is at it's top, just before it starts to open again, switch the ignition off. Is this any way to carry on? I was on the M62 the other night in a thunderstorm and I was wet through where the rain was pouring in through the not-quite-shut window.

I'm a little brassed off with this situation. Does anyone know how to reset these windows so they will shut properly, or is it a new motor that is required?

Anu guesses? Clues? Help?

Anyway, I've sounded off on this, so can anybody help me out here?

Thanks for reading this far.

Alan
