I have a 2007 3 door Yaris automatic. It comes with A/C, keyless entry, etc. My problem is when I go up long gradual hills, as the car automatically gears down to go up the hill, the car starts to smell like rubber. (Like a hot vaccuum belt smell). Once the car get to the top of the hill, the smell goes away quickly. I have taken it to Toyota and they replaced the catalytic converter which didn't help, then they said there was 4 rubber clamps holding up the catalytic converter which 2 were in a position that they could get hot and give off an odor, so they removed two to see if that would help....it didn't! They first said they never heard of that problem

, now they say there is one more with the same problem. I now am to leave the vehicle with Toyota over a weekend for the mechanic to drive. Has anyone heard of this problem or have any ideas?
