Question Adding a tach

I have had my five speed '07 Yaris liftback for about four months now, and the more I drive it the more I wish i had a tachometer. Why doesn't even have a shift light!? I see that the Yaris sedan has a tachometer listed as an option (not available on the liftback). I do not understand this, but does anyone know if it is possible to get the instrument cluster with the tachometer and install it on my car? Or should I just get an aftermarket tach and mount it on the dash over the stearing wheel? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Instrument cluster with a tach is available from the dealer. I checked for my yaris which has an automatic. I thought it would be neat to have a tach. Two problems, first is the cost, aroud $600 for the cluster and I believe it doesn't include installation, and the second is that the car needs to be left overnight. I was told the cluster is removed and the mileage forwarded to the factory. Then the factory loads the mileage in the new cluster and overnights the cluster to the dealer for install. I have the service manuals. but haven't found where to hook up an aftermarket tach. You get to keep the old cluster also.
