Echo hatch

I have bin looking at buying a echo hatch back as a second vehicle, but it really depends on how close the engine is to the JDM Vitz turbo version, same internals, block design , and fuel management. if i do buy it my plan would be to turbo it. i dont think it would be worth doing it to it if i would have to open up a brand new block and have to start swaping pistons and conecting rods.

so if any one has looked in to this yet or know of any good sites in english that could help me out would be much appreciated.

The Canadian HB Echo has a larger 1.5L 4 Cyl engine, the Vitz has a 1.3L 4Cyl.

Toyota won't confirm if a Turbo will be added later. I'm waiting for the WRC HatchBack. (World Rally Championships)

Rally cars is where its at now with the Mits Lancer EVOs and Subaru WRXs. Toyota has been left out since discontinuing the RWD Corollas.

but the turbo vitz has the 1.5L from what i could under stand on this site. ( click on the blue ??????? )
