I saw this while reading the paper this morning. I'm not sure when it takes effect. I wouldn't be surprised if the government changes their mind and raises the bar enough to exclude the Yaris from this program. But if you are planning to buy soon, its something to keep an eye on and ask your dealer about.

And of course the federal budget has to pass
