2000 Echo - Constantly loose power steering belt

Hi,

Ever since last summer, my power steering belt has been loosening and squealing. The belt loosened enough to slip up onto the side of the wheel, which cut it through between two ribs, effectively making two belts out of it.

I brought it in to replace it, and it seemed to stay tight until just recently it did the same thing again. I had it tightened four times this past month, and the mech says "the bolts keep loosening". I don't know what to make of this.

Any ideas?

Bolts lose. Try lock-tite or something like that. It could also be that the threads are gone or on their way out. It shouldn't do that.
