Suppose I had a 2000 Echo with a tape deck and front/back speakers. Suppose I wanted to swap this out for a CD player without spending a lot of bread. I'd be looking for something used, either factory or aftermarket.

What other Toyotas have a compatible head unit? I've heard that this includes the RAV4, Tacoma and Celica but need more info.

What is the part number of the factory CD player for the Echo?

Will the factory CD changer install in the tape deck head unit?

Are you asking how to do the swap or just what toyota head unit to use? Ive done two aftermarket installs on my 2000 echo and its really pretty easy. if thats what you want to know more than happy to help.

I just want to know what factory unit to use. The person doing it is on a budget and I don't want to source an adapter kit for a used aftermarket setup. Thanks.
