Yaris + lowering springs

I just bought my Yaris and I'm looking for lowering springs. Please share your experience with ride quality, etc. Here are the drops I've found so far:

Brand front/rear

Eibach 1.0/1.0
Arospeed 1.6/1.6
Tanabe DF210 1.8/2.0
Tanabe NF210 1.5/1.5
Tein S-tech 1.9/1.9
Sprint 1.75/1.75
TRD 1.5/1.5?

Anyone have experience with a full coilover setup on the Yaris?

I went with Sprint and the drop is perfect. The ride is same as stock and no scrapping on big dips. I don't even have to slow down for speed bumps. Just make sure when you lower it you cut the factory bumpstops in half. Here is a pic of mine. I woudn't go with coilover just for the fact that I have had them on previous vehicles I have owned and the ride quality was too stiff

thanks, sounds good. Why did you have to cut the bump stops? Is that a typical mod when installing lowering springs?

The installation manual says to make sure you cut the bumpstops in half because it will give you extra wheel travel since the car will be lowere than stock. it makes the ride just like stock. If you have the springs installed by a shop just make sure you tell them to cut the bumpstops because alot of people are too lazy to do it.

That's an extremely good thing. You can't go wrong with that, tC4fun4me
btw, do you have a tC as well?

DUMPEDYARIS: How's the ride with the suspension upgrades? Is it tolerable on rougher roads and things like going over (really bad) railroad crossings without slowing down (damn I hate those people that slow down )?? I also think you got the best compromise, lowered for good looking stance but also good over speed bumps

Hey guys... well I got the Teins S-Techs on my Yaris 100% better then stock let me tell you.. also I never cut any thing and have yet to scrape or any thing... The car handles like a dream even on bumpy roads and train tracks, speed bumps no problem...

I'll add some pics so you can see the ride height too.

excellent, thank you for the pics. I don't think cutting the bump stops should be necessary, but if it is, that's ok.

Yes, I have a fully built Scion turbo tC, more info here: www.sciontcx.com -- almost done, so it's time for a new project, the Yaris!
