Obdii?

Aloha everyone, my girl has an '07 yaris hatchback that has the maint. req. light on. I have realized late that it will flash for a while reminding you to change oil. The oil was changed but I didn't reset the light soon enough I guess and now it burns steady. How do I get that light off. I tried using my OBDII scanner but aparently it's not compatible, and I tried disconecting the battery but that didn't work either. Thanks

If it's the same as my Taco, turn the ignition off, push and hold the trip reset button while turning the ignition back to the on position. 5 dashes will appear on the display and they will count down to 0, and the light should go out.

If all else fails, look in the owners manual.......it's in there......
