headlight swap for a 93

Hi

guys I know there are tercels with much nicer than mine headlights, mine has that plastic thing all around
is it possible to swap ? I have a 93

also do I have to change the grill too ? mesh grill maybe ?


please help

If you look at a newer Tercel, try a 94, it should have a better style of headlight. I know exactly what you're talking about. I've seen two completely different types of headlights for that model of Tercel. But I don't know what model years got which style. And I'm not talking about 95+ because that's when the whole body changed aswell.

oh that gotta be it, so max 94 right ? after 95 wont fit ?

I think that's the year. It might have been 96. Not 100% sure on that one.

If I'm correct in what you're describing, you've got the base rectangular sealed beam unit with the gray plastic bezel, and you want the "aero" headlight (the one that follows the contour of the front). What you want to look for is the headlight from the DX model, usually found on cars with the cloth interior and body-color bumpers. I think it was optional on all years, '91-94.

by the way anyone know if they + the grille will fit right away ? or wuold I need a dremel ?
