Australia Toyota 2005 Yaris 1.3 or 1.5L ??

Hi guys,

just want to know if the 1.3L engine is good? also how many km (or mileage) can you go with a full tank??

I'm planning to get the Manual, 3door, 1.3L engine Yaris 2005/06 model.

The 1.3L is not available in NorthAmerica, so I can only comment on the 1.5L. I can do 6L/100km for mostly motorway driving with manual transmission. Max range is just over 600kms.

Acceleration is slow, but acceptable. If you plan on mostly city driving, I'd go for the 1.3L. I suspect that the lower power engine would suit fine. Hope this is helpful.

I've seen Yarii with sunroof(and leather interior!) in Europe. I have seen one aftermarket sunroof install on old style Yaris ( Echo ) , so it is possible. Quality of install may be an issue.

Its a good idea though as the Yaris Aircon can't really keep up with temps > 30C in my experience
