Goodbye echo, say hello to...

neon...thats right, a 1999 or 2000 neon (didn't pay much attention, it drove alright and looked fairly clean, so I said I'll take it).

I was going to pick up a new Rabbit when the 2007's go on sale this month or August, but when it rains it pours. I've just received notice my landlord has moved back to Canada (in 8 years, I never met him before last week) and he wishes to get back in his house, so we're being evicted.

Since I now am being pushed into purchasing a home a year before I wanted to, I'm not going to go financing a new car just before a mortgage application...car makers will finance anyone, mortgagers are quite a bit more picky. I called a friend that works for a dealer and told him I needed cheap and a year of reliability. He hasn't steered any in the supra club wrong, and this looks like it will meet my "it must last one year and be cheap as possible" criteria. At least I can go house shopping now...

You do what you gotta do, you found a car that you needed and you got it. Good luck with the house buying.
