..a "friend" sat in my drivers seat, uninvited, and with the engine off, jerked the steering wheel back and forth. now i may be crazy, but the steering feels a little loose to the passenger side. am i nuts?

How about kicking that friend in the nutsack for doing that? Obviously nothing is wrong, but if something is wrong, blame that "friend" of yours for doing what he did

thx echoholik...

i really posted here for some sympathy, which i got from you!
it does seem unlikely that any real damage could have been incurred. but i have noticed that the steering is incredibly sensitive when the wheel is knocked or tweeked when the engine is off. however it could all be my imagination.
