Liftback S

Does anyone know if the Liftback S is currently availalbe or if it is new for 08? Webside was vauge and didnt give an answer. I like that the S will add a tachometer something the liftback needs.

Yes the liftback S is currently on sale. The 08's are officially out, although depending on region they might not even offer it or just can't configure it for that certain area (speaking of "S" trim). The S already comes with a tach standard.

Yeah I tried to build one too but they wouldn't let me select the 5-speed. I hope this isn't true! That sucks! But the S should have tach standard. Look under the interior specs or something like that it should have it standard for the S. But yeah I don't get the transmission thing. Maybe it could be the region goesn't get that certain configuration but I don't know.

i looked under the pictures and you were right about the tach on the S, i wonder why they didnt put a tach in the non S version. I really hope you can get the S in 5 speed, id rather have the HB but if i cant get the right options then sedan it is. And what is with no cruise control on the HB, come on toyota throw us HB lovers some options

For non-"S" liftbacks you don't get a tach...and cruise control wasn't even an option from day one although I don't know if the sedan offers it. Yeah it sucks they water it down but that's to keep the price down. The liftback is suppose to be the cheaper of the two cars hence why it doesn't get a much goodies.
