No cabin filter!? And a/c odor question?

Hi

Im concerned about something I read on the other yaris forum about an odor in a/c on new yaris"?? I have bad asthma and allergies so this is critical.

I have an 08' is this a certainity does anyone know if its in 08?

We only had a/c run a week or so a till winter came but the new car smell was sooo strong I couldnt of noticed.

I would like to know before next summer to tell them, it wont come from the cabin filter will it should I leave it w/ out one? Speaking of which....

I just read online the yaris doesnt come w/ a cabin filter! Geez whiz for petes sake...someone else on here was disapointed w/ yaris' road noise and said toyota must feel if this is what we pay we get nothing....I kinda agreed but now I really agree! How cheap can they friggin get!?

I looked too, no filter empty slot, Im asking dealer for a free one since they foibled up my vin number on paperwork at first and offered me something for which wasnt decided yet...hope I get one I will install it. Edited to add: my salesman just contacted me back and said the cabin filter is standard on my specs' so I should have one, he is going to get me one.

I wonder did those missing it ask? I wonder why they dont come installed especially if they should! I thought that seemed awfully cheap.

Im still wondering about the a/c odor thing tho? Is it common to all?
