Yep, pull off the glove compartment door and you'll see a space for it. Get one from your Toyota dealer.

I just put a new one into my 2002 Echo. Advance Auto has Purolators for it at about $13.95 that fit in well. The dealer charged me around $50.00 for this filter which is a lot for the flimsy little filter it is. In comparing the Purolator to the Toyota filter that I removed there appears to be no difference in the filter media itself, there is a small difference in the lip around it that is minor and does not efefct the fit. For a $36.00 difference Buy the Purolator. It is easy to change.

I bought Purolator and now I have cabin air filter! I wish I knew it earlier, I have Echo for quite a while and only now I have filter. It seems like, factory did not put cabin air filter, when they made a car. Is everyone car originaly does not have cabin air filter?

The Echo's, at least the early ones, did not come from the factory with a cabin air filter installed. They have a place for it but according to the dealer I asked, the actual filter was considered an option. I found this strange myself when the dealers push you to change the filter, even listing it in their maintainence recommendations. I had assumed that the car came from the factory with a filter in it and was shocked the first time I changed it not only with the price at the dealer, but to find that the filter housing was empty.
It seems that Toyota tells people how important a cabin filter is but they didn't feel it was important enough to install them.

My 04 Echo didnt come with a Cabin Air Filter. I got one from Auto Zone for $30.
My dad's 07 Yaris didnt come with a Cabin Air Filter either.
(He had to copy me and buy the car that replaces mine. Go figure.)

The Yaris filter is harder to come by. I went to all of the auto stores in town and nobody could get one for me. They said they aren't availiable. I saw some online but am not sure if they are really what we need.

Has anyone bought a Yaris Cabin Air Filter? From where?

Well, I bought mine from local checkers for around $18.. The filter was Bosch
and in the box, it said the filter is for Echo and I believe Rav4.. Also fits Yaris but not listed. I assume Yaris, Echo and Rav4 shares the same cabin filters.
