UK Tyre pressure

Hi

I'm about to change the wheels on my '04 1.0L T3 Yaris.
The new wheels are 15" alloys with 195/50/r15 82V tyres.
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what tyres pressures i should be using.
On my current standard 14" wheels its 33psi in front and 30 psi in the back.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Whenever I switch to aftermarket wheels that aren't the same as oem, I use the psi rating on the tire's side wall.Right now on my yaris stock 15"s I'm at about 45psi for best mileage reasons.

I usually end up somewhere in between. The tire sidewall pressure is the rated maximum, and is the ideal pressure for carrying the maximum weight load the tire is capable of. It will provide the highest safe gas mileage as well as the tire will be the most ballooned at this pressure it is safe to be. The manufacturer sticker is for the pressure that will hold the car up properly and compromises to gain ride comfort and better traction in exchange for maximum carrying capacity and fuel mileage.

Hey cheers for the info guys.

I called a tyre fitters yesterday and they recomended 30psi in the front and rear for 195/50/r15 wheels and to pump them up to 32psi for long jourenys.

Yep - generally stick with the pressures on door jam/owners manual if you want soft, comfortable ride. For maximum fuel savings, go to sidewall max (cold). Higher pressures do give better mileage, but less traction.
