Canada Yaris 2007 electronic locks

My 2007 Yaris four door hatchback has intermittent functioning of the electronic door locks. I can always lock each door manually, but if I try the lock switch on the console or the driver's door key lock, sometimes they work, sometimes not. I discussed this with the local service manager who tells me that this is a Yaris issue that has yet to be solved.

I have talked to several Yaris owners who don't have the problem; I haven't seen it reported on any consumer websites, blogs or threads.

Does anyone out there have a comment on this?

Hey man.. sorry no probs with me.. maybe try taking it to a different dealer and ask them to take a look at it. Since you car should still be under warrenty just request that it be fixed. I have not seen a TSB for this issue either.

I'm assuming that you have power locks. I have one test to see if it's the switches or not. Use your key and from either the drivers or front passenger, twist left twice (to un-lock all doors), and twist right twice (to lock all doors). Do this just when ever and also do it when you get the problems from the switches. Trying to figure out if it's the switches or something else like a loose wire or such.
