Question Horsepower Reading on My Echo

Hi guys,

I have a stock 1.3L manual Echo that generates 86hp. I have been using the Scangauge II on it for 5+ months now and Since the day I got it, Max HP reading on the ScangaugeII was 86hp.

Yesterday After work, I wanna check IF there's a power gain or loss (since I haven't really pushed the car max out for several months now). I was shocked to see 99hp. So this morning I went out and tried again... (as some people told me, just an error probably) and this time it reads 106hp.

That's a clip of it, skip to about 15sec to the end. I just lost for word how it can go higher than 86hp (I'm using E10 Fuel, 10% Ethanol. I should've put the RPM reading too! DAMN IT)

Brake lights aren't broken, I just don't brake.

Either the instrument isn't that reliable or someone might have played a 1NZ-FE-swap practical joke on you.
