Yes, there is a specific intake for your car. It's made by weapon-r. Here in the U.S. your car is the echo. So if your going to get an intake from them when you go to their web site look up the intake for the toyota echo and the year of your car and they should have something that fits (as long as your motors the 1.5 1NZFE engine). I have a 2001 toyota echo and your engine is the same it looks like.

Ah a reply allready..thanks man!

So, the thing is i am not sure whether my engine is the 1.5 1NZFE engine.

About your short ram intake - is it like this one?
http://www.andysautosport.com/toyota...p00029880.html

If yu have any pics of ur engine can i see plz?

And what i am looking for is a nice high performance intake which wud have my car running a little better and also....do yu get "noise" out of that intake yu have? I wanted that if i get an intake....that it gives out a nice humming noise or something....yu know...so when i rev or accelerate i hear my engine/intake louder and more beastly

And i am kind of low on cash for i have a few other things to do with the car but whats the best price i can get one at? A good one, cheap but good and worth the money

Also in addition to the above post....i think its a 1.3 i have ...the guy who services the car said i have a 1.3 engine.....and he said if i put a short ram intake ether...ill consume more gas......is that TRUE??

From my understanding, a performance intake will be better for the car, and at average speeds it will not consume more gas.....Maybe at high speds it will but not at the average speeds.

ANY input please????

The intake you have a link for is their dragon intake. If you hve the 1.3 go to their website and do a little research. I know they make it for the 1.5, but I dont know about the 1.3. Second, I will take pictures and post them if I can, but you have to give me a day or two I'm a little busy. Yes, the short ram has a little hissing sound I guess you can call it with your car running. However, you got to remember putting bolt ons is not going to give your incredible gains on these engines. It will help of course, but nothing out of this world.

Thanks man...i'll do some digging for the 1.3 on the site. I know i wont gain much if any HP out of it but its the idea of it, that my car will be running somewhat better than before and also the "hissing noise".

Thanks for taking the time to post man altho your're busy, I appreciate it!
Looking forward to seeing those pics
