Differences between 91 and 98 octane ?

Hey guys,

I just want to ask will my 01 ECHO make any differences if I put 98 octane in the tank rather than 91 octane? Does it give better fuel economy?

Thanks

Where are you? Unless you're boosted, or have knocking, stick with the regular or whatever the manual says. They say premium gives more enconomy because it burns longer, but there is too many variables to acertain if this is true. If you really want economy, fix your driving habits... easier on the pocket book.

Funny you would ask. For the first time a filled up my tank with V-Power 98 gas since it was the same price as regular (it was some sort of special). I didn't see any real difference. I believe if you have a performance engine then you would see a difference. With our 1.4 engine golf cart you won't see a big difference at least I didn't.
