When 2009 Yaris?

Does anyone know when the 2009 Yaris models are supposed to arrive in the US? I wonder what might be new about them...

More than likely the fall. I'm guessing September or so. I don't know if there will be anything new. My only reason I can think of if there was something new cause the new 09 Fit is coming out. Otherwise I believe its just a carry over from the previous model year 08. No changes. But for the 2010 model expect changes as that is the mid-cycle refresh model. I'm betting there will be changes as competition in this segment for the U.S. is getting hotter with gas prices. The all new Yaris will be in 2012. If the 5 year cycle is consistent.

Toyota will be bringing the 5-door Yaris to the States, I guess in Base and S models according to the Toyota Vehicle Services. That's all there is so far on the 2009 model as of yet.

We got the brochure in about the 09 yaris as most of you all probably know already side curtain airbags and ABS are gonna be standard. as well as the 5 door liftback coming which btw doesn't add wheelbase from the three door. There's one new color for the three door liftback called yellow jolt which looks to be rediculously yellow

And it looks like the new US 5-door will have minor cosmetic changes to the front end, the other two models appear to be the same.

Minor facelift on all Yaris models throughout the line no matter hatchback or sedan.

In Canada, we already have the 09 Yaris Sedan but the Hatchback will have to wait for the facelift.

The Sedan gets a new grill, bumper treatments, new wheel designs i think and a bigger feature list

Could be sooner as the current body style was available in Europe and Asia in 05.

No 5 speed on the 5 door seems ludicrous. The 1.5 engine screams for a manual. The Yarii on the lot now seem a little more pumped up with options.I was in the market for one two weeks ago and was hoping to spend around $13k.I only found cars in the 14- 15k range so I opted for a Corolla LE at 17.5k.
