The usual culprit is wax blocking the nozzels in which case a bit of needle work is in order, did you wax your car since the last time you used the washer?

USA Me too!

I had the same problem with my 2001 echo. Do you hear the pump running when you hit the switch? I didn't and I tracked it down to a bad washer pump. according to the shop manual, it is one of three things, a bad switch, a bad wiring harness, or a bad washer pump. The pump is located on the side of the washer reservoir bottle. To test it, you need to run power directly through it from your car's battery. only do it for a couple of seconds (the FSM says no more than 20 secs), If the pump runs then its not your problem, if it doesn't then it needs to be replaced. The wiring and the switch are out of my scope of knowledge, so I will let someone else tell you about it.
