USA Allowable tire sizes for stock 2007 Yaris Sedan

Greetings. Since I know absolutely nothing but tire sizes except that the last number represents the wheel size, I had a question about them. A friend of mine has four tires from a 2002 Corolla that he is no longer using. He actually removed them shortly after buying the car. I have a 2007 Yaris Sedan that is ready for new tires. The Yaris has 185/60R15 tires and the Corolla is sized 185/65R15. Will the Corolla tires fit the Yaris properly? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Technically no, realistically maybe.

You're supposed to stay within 3%:
Tire Size Comparison

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/km Difference
185/60-15 111mm 302mm 603mm 1894mm 528 0.0%
185/65-15 120mm 311mm 622mm 1952mm 512 3.1%

The tires will fit without a problem. But since the Corolla tire is a little bit taller, it will cause a small amount of speedometer & odometer error (will read slower than actual). It may also result in a small reduction in acceleration. Depending on how you drive, you may not even notice it.

Thumbs up

The tires are not as wide as the stockers, but are not any taller.
Speedometer will read correctly.

They are as wide: 185= tire width in mm.
but the sidewall height is bigger: 65= %of the width (185)
