Angry 2001 Echo alarm problem

My daughter has a 2001 Echo, while one of her brothers were installing a radio for her another one was checking fuses. When he checked one under the hood and saw that it was good, he put it back and the alarm started sounding. She doesn't have keyless entry and the fob for her alarm has been missing for quite awhile. Is there anyway to reset the alarm? The car will not start until it's disabled or reset. Thanks for any help.

Is it a factory alarm? Do think they have that, but I may be wrong.

Alarm problem

I'm not 100% sure, I believe it was factory, but she bought the car used, it was a year old when she bought it and the alarm was already installed.

Are there additional wires attached to the battery terminals? If it is not working or if there isn't a way to control the alarm, you might want to consider removing the whole system. What kind of fob was it, did it say Toyota on it?
