USA Tire Size-195/60R14

Hi All, Anybody tried putting 195/60R14 tires on to replace the OEM 175/65R14s? The 195 is taller by .8 inches in circumference and .2 inches in diameter according to the tire size calculator on Miata.net.

I have a 2000 Echo.

They should fit fine. I've got 185/60/R14 on the front and 195/70/R14 on the back of my '01 Echo. I had to take the mudflaps off the back b/c the bigger tires just barely rubbed, but if you stick with the same general sidewall height, you should be fine. I do have a set of old Tercel Firehawk rims though, but I wouldn't think they're much different than stocks except in appearance.

I used to have the 195/70s all the way around but they took away about 4 mpg, so I switched the front out to the slightly smaller size and gained it back (probably a combination of smaller diameter and lowering drag and rolling resistance).

Thanks Dake. With the 195's there are a lot more (and better) tire choices, plus I would'nt mind having the extra tire width.
