Yaris Trailer Light Connections

I got a trailer hitch for my 2007 Yaris 3 door from BSAOhio on Ebay. It took about 30 minutes to install. It costs about 80.00 including shipping and ball mount.

Now I want to connect a trailer light converter.

Does anyone have any idea what would be a good way to connect it? The wires to the tail lights are so tiny I wonder if it is a good idea to connect the light converter to them.

A plug in light harness would be nice!

Thanks All

Van

Keep things easy for yourself, run down to U-haul or trucker place and buy a harness made for Toyotas.

As for the wiring, don't do it at the lights, go before them where it's all taped up. To make sure it's sturdy, tape it all back together (back to original).

lol..just to be clear, when I say tape...I only mean when you are done and are cleaning up. When you make actual connections, us the appropriate parts... No Ghetto Rigging...nor Duct tap.

Brake lights aren't broken, I just don't brake.

U-Haul Harnesses

Do you know that U-Haul sells 2007 Toyota Yaris Harnesses, or are we just hoping they do?

(I hope they do...)

You're not going to find anything that specific. They only make it for brands.

The reason is that it's more for the way car makers decide to apply function to their lights. IE...Ford and I think Nissan use the stop lights as turn signals while GM (most GM) and Toyota use the parking lights (double filament) as turn signals while having separate brake lights.

When you get the package, the instruction on it is very simple.

(Used to work at U-haul for a time, did many harness installs, or fixes, lol)
