Yaris owners try this

Hey you 2008 yaris 4 door sedan owners try this and tell me what happens.... Roll all your windows up and get your yaris up to 60 or 65 mph then lower both back windows all the way down at the same time. Tell me what happens.

I know this sounds odd but I wanted someone else to try it. After a few posts I'll tell you what happen to my yaris.

Extreme wind buffeting that is beyond annoying.

Yeah, in reality, these cars are very slick and it really messes up their aerodynamics if you have a window down.

The one that gets me is if you have only one window down, I can feel the pressure change fluctuating at speed. I have to open the opposite window a crack so it can at least equalize - and I never go hi-way speeds with the windows down.

Ok, well I guess it is good to know that it is not only me that has that problem. If there is someone riding with me that I want out..... I just roll the windows down and wait for their ear drums to burst.

It is like being inside a subwoofer speaker cabnet with the volume turned up.

Still love me Yaris but I just had to pass that little fact on.......

most cars will get wind buffeting at a certain speed w/ windows at a certain position....my matrix used to do that if the rear windows were down at highway speeds.....if i rolled them up to about <4" from the top it was ok...

The 3 door Echo hatch also does this if I open only one window. Annoying.

Oh, even my former Jaguar high-end, when you did that to the back windows, the horrid shrieking sound was unbearable. It is pretty normal for most cars.
