Hello Everyone,

I am here representing my friend who owns a 2004 Echo (4 door).

She is looking to get keyless entry for her car. However, since she doesnt have power anything (doors, windows, seats...) the shop near her told her it was not possible to put keyless entry into her car due to the nature of the door panel.

I was wondering if there was truth to this statement, or if that was a bad shop.

If you CAN install keyless entry on the car i was hopeing to get some suggestions for her.

Well, my '01 Echo has keyless entry. It has to have power door locks, but it has nothing else power (no windows, seats, etc). So, it can be done. Even after market, it's more than possible - it just sounds like they didn't want to do it. I guess that's better than taking her to the cleaners to install it.

I would say there must be a generic after-market kit that could be installed. I'd tell her to shop around.
