Help, the engine has gone on my wife's toyota Yaris 2003 and have been quoted a good price for a recon engine, but they the engine code, the new one I hope to buy is 2NZFE will this be compatable with my car, if anyone can help it would be much appreciated?

What little I know is that the 1300cc 2NZ-FE is very similar to the 1500cc 1NZ-FE but has a shorter stroke, and that it's put in Vitzes and Beltas in the Japanese home market. (And other parts of the world, it may well be what your Yaris came with.) We only get the 1NZ-FE here in the States. I'd expect them to readily interchange, but I have no experience doing so.
