Salutations from a noob

Hello TN group. I have a '97 blackhawk that I rallycross and commute with. I stumbled onto this site while looking for a LSD. I have been to some of the other site for tercel (yahoo, tercelnetwork, Pimp, tercelonline ans such) but they seem a little ricey to me.
Personally I am into performance modifications pertaining to rallying. Currently I have:
t5 1/4 inch skidplate
hawk racing pads, brembo rotors, cooper weathermaster ST - rallyx for now, bridgestone re930 - street, bosch dual sparks, suspension techniques springs, kyb gr2 struts, Schroth Rally3 harness, Corbeau A4 drivers seat, Hella FF1000 lights, Hella 500 lights, Sylvania Silverstar bulbs H4 and H3s, rally mudflaps and K&N cone filter with custom intake.

Oh and performance for future is:
ASP Racing pulleys
Port and Polished head
Cams
larger throttle body
Hotshot Header
LSD
Lightened Flywheel
Race Clutch
True Rally Spring: Hotbits, Morris, DMS
and more under car protection.
Also any other goodies I learn along the way.

Now you're my kind of Tercel guy!
Huge welcome to ya!

I'm a bit stretched for time at the moment, so I have to make this short. But I'm a big rally, rally-x, navex, drivex, autox, etc, fan myself. Basically, I enter my car in anything that they will let me do without a rollcage. We'll have to talk more later.

Oh yeah, if you want an LSD, it'll have to be special ordered from Japan. Quaife America used to make them for us, but I think that's been discontinued. You're only other two options are TRD, and Cusco, but like I said, they'll both have to be special ordered from Japan.

Thank you for the welcome. It seems we have similar interests. Maybe we will see each other at Tall Pines, Defi or other rallies. I plan on going to Maine Forest again, maybe next year. My normal rally is STPR or other club events.
I am sure that the LSD will be something that I will need sponsor help with as I could spend that kind of money on a cage.
I have many more pics available of the TRDcel in action sideways.

I have been sideways on 95 through Hartford CT. Actually, I was following a nice little Bimmer moving through traffic a nice clip when a Tractor Trailer cut me off in the center lane and forced me to lock up the brakes, pull the e brake and cock the wheel a little. All this at 80 or so and in traffic. Little bugger almost took my front end off!

The link you provided for you pics isn't working. I'd sure like to see them. There's a link to my homepage in my signature. You can see pictures, and mods, etc there.
I'm at Tall Pines every year. That's the only national event in Ontario, since Voyageurs went AWOL.
How is STPR? I here it's supposed to be really good. That event is famous, even up here in Canada. But I've never seen it.

Do you ever run any Navigational events? There's a heap of great overnight winter events coming up. Next weekend is Rallye Des Neiges. Snowy Safari is the weekend after that. Then the Ontario Winter Rally runs on Feb. 21. I'm going to be running in each of them. I love those events, they're so much fun. Sliding around in the snow in the middle of the night, on the best roads in North America. I doesn't get much better than that.

Hey wedge/toyfiat, either of you ever done anything like set up a tripod and vidcam in your cars for any of the events you've been to? I'd love to see some incar footage (or spectator pics if you have any). I'm sure brandon wouldn't mind some for his toyota movie, either

Oh, and welcome to TN

Performance for the Tercel

I suggest www.diaboliqueracing.com for performance racing parts. I have the d\R short-shifter, d\R CAI, and d\R underdrive pulley.

They are ALL about the preformance. Check them out.

I have checked DR out, just haven't had the money at the right time for the parts. I am in the process of putting together sponsor proposals for the first time so maybe they would be into that.

I do have alot of pictures of my trdcel in action, just no website to host them on. I can email if someone else wants to host them. No video as of yet.

Hey, do you know of any really fun rallycross events this summer, that might not be too far from the Canadian border?
They don't hold those events here anymore. The Canadian rules make rallycross events infeasable. It'd be cheaper for organizers, and for competitors to run a single-road performance rally. So there's no more rallycross here for the time being. But still plenty of people that would want to do them!

Try these guys, they are supposed to have some serious events. Right now they have 6-12 inches of snow on course. The Irish usually show up at these events and the ones at Rausch Creek. There is some up in Maine near vermont Sports car as well.
