I have just got the Toyota Vitz 2000, there are number of things which i dont know about the car.

1. What is "TRIP/ODO" button for? and what is "TRIP A TRIP B"
2. What does "O/D (Overdrive)" means? What is it for? When it should be turned off and when turned on?

Kindly help, it will help me alot.

You can use Trip A for logging how far you go on a single tank of fuel and Trip B for logging current mileage before a reset. To reset A or B, hold the button down while on A or B.

O/D is your car's fourth gear. It is on by default.

Thnx alot for replaying. I could not understand the purpose of TRIP A and TRIP B, if you could kindly elaborate further whats the purpose of TRIP A and TRIP B button?

Trip A and Trip B are the exact same things, they note miles/ km driven for you before you reset them. nOOb gave you two suggestions for their uses, you can use them for whatever you like them to be of use for you. The purpose of the buttons themselves is to reset the mileage.
