hey guys, my mate's Echo had a problem we couldn't figure out tonight, it wouldn't start at all, my guess was it was the starter, as the engine warning light was lit, but the one I really couldn't figure out was the brake pedal was stuck, I couldn't press it down. Any ideas? Cheers

If it is an automatic transmission and the brake pedal wont move i would suspect the starter safety switch connected to the brake pedal isnt getting activated to allow the car to start,not sure why the brake pedal wont move,has your friend had any brake work done recently?And i doubt a starter problem would set of a 'check engine light'
