Canada 2000 echo infant car seat

Hi all,

I am sorry if this has been posted already (great way to start off my first post) but for some strange reason when I search the forums I get a blank page. So, that being said, if there is a thread of this topic already, would someone please post a link. Thanks

OK, I have a 2000 echo and a baby on the way. I can't find information about a latch system in the car. Does the 2000 echo have a latch system to anchor the seat? I have looked at the car manual and have found nothing about car seat instalation. Is there a resources (PDF, website, video) that someone can show me about how to do this properly? Maybe a list of best compatable seats, etc.

Also, I have tried both a Graco Snugride and a Peg Perego Viaggio SIP in the back seat (of course). Both are large with the Peg being a little smaller. By large I mean the passenger seat is far forward making it uncomfortable for the passenger. This is more a rant than a question but I wish the echo was a foot longer in the back.

Thanks

Wink infant car seat

Lots of parents want an extra measure of security so they install car seats with both a vehicle seat belt and the Latch system. Using two installation methods is not safe. The Britax Marathon car seat is one of the most popular convertible car seats. he Marathon can be installed using Latch

LATCH was not required in the US until 2002. I imagine the same may hold true in Canada too. (especially since manufacturers tend to build all their North American cars to the same specification).

So, you will need to use the factory supplied seat belts to secure your child seat.
