Yaris AT Fluid Change Interval

2008 Yaris
I cannot find in my owners maintenance info when the AT fluid is to be changed or for that matter when the fuel filter or any other fluids besides the engine oil and coolant need to be changed. I have 60,000 miles on my yaris already (long distnace commuter)

Technically, our cars don't have a serviceable fuel fuel filter-- it's located within the gas tank and is bascially a screen.

As for the AT fluid, I've found that there is no Toyota recomended service interval for the car.

Our car doesn't really need major service beyond the oil and oil filter changes until about 90k to 100k. I know we will need new plugs at about 100k, just a timing chain adjustment, maybe a coolant change and possibly tranny fluid change. (Note, the books says nothing about coolant changes also)

I would say common sense says that if you are in lots of stop and go, do service the AT fluid sooner. I'd say you're okay. If you want piece of mind, do it at about when you need to do your plugs. Do it all when you have to do the plugs.

As best I can recall the Camry requires AT changes with Toyota WTS every 60,000 miles. There is also a caveat about "heavy use" for many ATs, for example in Urban driving and for towing or high speed driving.

The Yaris, true, does not have a suggested change interval. One can assume that this means that this fluid is "lifetime". I don't agree with this assessment but to each their own.

I plan to change my AT through the drain on the bottom of the AT, don't recall that quantity, with Toyota WTS every 60,000 miles. I got lots of hills around here.
