So my fathers been buggen me to find out from one of those "online communities" what could be causing the annoying grinding noise when taking sharp left turns on his 00 4 door echo. (over 100k miles)

Help is appreciated so I can be stopped buggen.

At what speed and what conditions?

Full lock on a U-turn? Or a normal corner. Is is a constant grinding, or something that happens only one time in the corner? (etc etc)

Question Grinding

Is it a grinding or clicking noise? Is it loud? If it's a clicking noise it's your CV...if its a grinding it's your bearings. If it is your bearings get both done even if the other seems ok.

That's the way I see...urhm...hear it.

Cheers

At low speeds and full lock on a u turn, but sometimes just turning in somewhere a little sharp can cause it. The sound is grinding not clicking and its constant.
