Echo CD/MP3 Player Owners Help! - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

Hi,

I have a Toyota CD/MP3 player in my 2005 Echo that was warrantied a while ago. I am about 99% sure that on my original stereo, if I had the lights turned on then all the buttons on the stereo would light up. ie: not just the main display but all the numbers (1,2,3,4,5) and the "Page" button etc.

Since having my stereo replaced this is no longer the case and the dealer says that this is how it is supposed to work.

If you have this type of stereo could you tell me whether or not all your buttons light up and if so what code is on the front? Either 31807 or 31806.

Thats the unit from Toyota i have in my recently purchased 05 Echo and only the screen lights up which is a real pain in the butt at night because you have to guess where the buttons are as they arent lit up

My recently sold 01 Echo had a disc/ cassette combo and everything lit up,not sure what Toyota was thinking on this one.I use a small bendable map light plugged into the lighter that i can turn on at night when i want to see what i'm doing with the radio at night.
