European Union ND3T-W56 problem

Can anyone help plaease? I just both a Toyota Vitz for my wife and the stereo is locked. It shows only (Eject, Open/Close Display). IT seems that it is locked. Is there a way I can unlock it. I heared that you must have a boot disk for it. The model is: ND3T-W56

It appears you've run afoul of the "theft-proof radio" we're warned about in all the maintenance procedures. You'd have to deal with Toyota to get the unlock procedures, .... my suggestion is to take the opportunity to buy a new better sound system now that they are all so cheap. Maybe with built-in satellite radio reception. There may be a "crack" for it though, so be patient and one of our cognicenti on this forum will chime in on the subject.

The boot disk theory sounds reasonable, but I'd be happier hearing that the dealer was more helpful in either supplying you a disk or at least advising you of a convenient source. I get a pain from guys like this just "trying to keep it sold" and trying to get off with incomplete advice. Just my two cents worth

I agree with you 100%. Honestly if there will be any charges I rather stay with it as it is and if not solve the problem I would prefer changing it.

... good to hear it worked out, and thanks for letting us know. You'll need that disk again anytime you disconnect your battery, so perhaps you could get a copy of that disk from your friendly dealer, ... he might do it now since he owes you one .... Dennis

I have the contents of the disk. I managed to cop the contents on my pc. I tried to make a copy but I couldn’t due to the fact that the size is too big to be written on a DVD. 8Gb

Hi,
We also recently bought a Vitz with an identical AV system (ND3T-W56). Is there any way I can have a copy of the boot disk please? If you private message me, we can exchange contact details (I live in Malta too !) and perhaps we can have a telephone chat. My issues basically lie with converting the language from Japanese to English, and identifying any firmware modifications which can make the product more Europeanized ! Can these be solved with your disk?

Many thanks

Anthony
