I'm not familiar with the Vitz version that has 4wd, but I'm going to assume that because it's on a sedan/liftback/car that it's on all the time and you won't be able to switch it on or off. So I'm going to call it AWD (all wheel drive).
Secondly, I'm going to assume that the power will go more to the front than the rears.. Your gas consumption will definitely be more than a front wheel drive Vitz. How much, I don't know, do you have the numbers anywhere?
Lastly, because you also have a rear drive axle, maintence will be more.
