Canada Just got my 04 Echo HB RS

I bought it a few weeks ago, and I must say, very impressed!
I decided to buy one after sitting in a 2000 sedan and thinking, "this isn't too bad, plus great gas mileage... I'll do more digging"
So I settled on an '04 HB RS in black.
I got the alloys sandblasted and powder coated black (CAN $250).
Then I installed lower springs from Canuckmotorsports.com ($200 with shp. & tax).
I used some auto upholstery cleaning foam and scrubbed the seats and carpets to get rid of some funky 'family' smells (worked great) and washed and waxed her.
Picked the car up for 7500 with only 64K on it. one owner, standard, no air, cd player.
Pic coming...
Here they are:

Looks like you got a great little car!! ... next thing I'd do is get it in for a rust-proofing treatment, eg Ziebart, Rustcheck etc. With that low mileage you can expect lots of years with this puppy as long as the corrosion is kept under control. Smartest money you can put in the car.

Nice ride! I also bought a 2004 RS for my wife a few weeks back. So far we're loving it. Heck, sometimes, I prefer going out in the Echo as opposed to my '09 Matrix XR THe comfort and gas mileage is great.

Looks like you got a good deal, too. Ours is basically the same as yours except we have air. It's my wife's car though, so there will be little modding done to it, since she doesn't want to. If it was up to me, I would have put an intake and axle back exhaust in it by now All I've done to it so far is switch it to synthetic oil, rustproof at Krown, 32% tints and buy a hood deflector.

That's a nice little car!

I was considering one myself a while back as a city runabout.

Thanks guys!
I haven't heard anything too positive about a CAI system, but I was thinking of adding a lighter crank pulley and/or a free flowing manifold, and/or free flow muffler.
I will get an anti-roll bar (across the engine) since that will stiffen her up a bit on tighter turns

front strut towers are attached to the firewall - - no point in getting a strut tower brace, it wont do anything

intake would be good, or a rear sway bar or pulley

Dog Smells

How'd you take out the "family smells", again? My biggest problem with my yaris is the dog smells.
