Echo/Yaris/Scion xB parts exchange?

I may get a job in Honduras. I have the opportunity to ship my xB there as part of a relocation package. Should I do that, or sell the car and buy something there? Questions:

Getting parts for an imported car in Honduras will be a headache. I read that the xB shares parts with the Echo and the Yaris. What parts? Engine? Suspension?
Were those cars sold in Honduras? Any other part exchanges with any other Toyota products?

I know this post is off the wall, but I need to start somewhere and I appreciate any help!

I'm not ready to sell the B, it's got 92k miles and I expect a lot more trouble free miles out of it. But waiting for parts to arrive from some other country, plus the duty and the 12% sales tax on imported parts, AND finding someone to fix can be a real nuisance.

The Yaris pretty popular world wide. Don't forget that the xA also shares components with the others.

I know for certain the engine is the same minus some variations like drive by wire in the later versions.

I'm thinking you'll be alright in parts department. The problem would be prices since cars outside of the us vary greatly from the prices in the US... can only assume the same for the parts?

That's some good info. I was thinking that crime would be a problem and glass may be hard to come by. As it stands, the company that I'll be working for was only kidding when they said they would ship a car from the US to Honduras. I'll be selling the B it looks like!

echo and xb are really similar

yaris (06+ yaris/vitz elsewhere) are fairly different.

yaris parts that arent swappable - - front struts, throttle bodies are different (dbw vs throttle cable), interiors are different, exhaust manifolds, exhaust routing, ecu.....maybe brakes too?
