Canada multi-fit vs OE rim, please help

Hi,
It's my first time to put winter tires on and
I was wondering if somebody can explain if it's worth extra money to spend extra $25/rim
for OE tires comparing to multi-fit.
And if they multi-fit is OK what size is right for 175/65 R14
CT has 5 different types with 14x5.5"
14x5.5"x5x100
14x5.5"x5x4x1/5
...

Are the OE rims hubcentric or lugcentric

Does it matter is rims are used?
I was thinking to get them for cheap from a junkyard as an alternative.

I have my snows on multi-fits and they're fine except the OEM hubcaps don't fit. They're bolt-centric same as the OEMs.

Thanks, guys

Is this P/N from macpek catalog?
http://catalogue.macpek.com/auto-res...HO&a=2005&d=14

I was told at CT OE rim stock number 96140 ? Is it the same as X41448
because the parts starting with 4 are multifit.

What is
"hub 54.1" ?
my understanding hub diameter should be a bit more than 100 mm?

I'm listed for x41442 as a multi-fit option and x41448 as the hubcentric wheel 96140 is Canadian Tire's own brand none of these are OEM rims made by Toyota

I measured the hole in the center of the rim where it sits on the hub and it is 54.1mm

The wheel nuts are conical shaped, so by definition the wheels are bolt-centric. In the case of these cars the hubs fit tightly in the wheel holes, but they don't have to as long as the nuts are on. Now if your wheel nuts are flange-type, then all you have is the hub to center the wheel. So with our OEM wheels we can say they're "both-centric"

I don't know what to do:
5-8 year old OEM rims at the local junkyard are $35, new at CT (96140) are $70
multifit (X41442) at Costco $38

How bad are multi-fits?

My multi-fits are just fine except, as I said the OEM wheel covers don't fit. That's not a bad thing in winter for me anyhow, but if covers were important some CTC cheapies would likely do. At least they're new so presumably straight and corrosion-free. Just my $.02 worth.

CTC is Canadian Tire Corporation?

Thanks for advice, everybody
got used OE from junkyard,
The person who sold me told me I should clean them with sand paper before putting tires on (or people who put tires usually do it). The outer surface where a tire sits is clean,
but inside there there are some rust/dirt stuck.
They put them on a hub and they fit OK, even hubcap fit.
Is there anything important I should check so rims don't damage the tire or anything else?

================
Best regards,
Sergo.

Best regards,
Sergo.

I've found tire shops don't automatically clean the rims prior to mounting tires or balancing, even when I've requested it! .... I've gotten into the habit of wire brushing my rims and handing them in OTC (over-the-counter) to get good balancing

Does CTC service center cleans the rims?
I have to use their service to get warranty for Nordic tires I bought from them.
