Canada Fueling Problem

Just came from the Shell station and it took almost 5 minutes to fill. The nozzle kept shutting off. I even switched to a different nozzle and same thing.

Got the car rustproofed yesterday.

2003 Echo 240,000Km's/125,000Mi's Automatic.
Any suggestions?

PS I did search there is a reference to a pressure/overflow tube problem, w/Corolla.

Sure sounds to me like the pressure vent is now plugged up with undercoating material,if it was an oil spray it will probably correct itself after a tank or two if it was the grease application you have a bigger problem.I'd go back to CT and tell them of your new problem since their undercoating and if they are an OK franchise they will bring in the car and blow out the lines with compressed air.

Hope they don't blow it into the tank

I've seen the breather beside the filler get plugged with rust

Thanks Jambo, Thanks Stevo.
Daughter tells me that it did that{fill problem} for her last fillup also.
That gets the rustproofer off the hook.
I have a compressed air tank, guess while pulling the "summers" for "snows" I'll check the lines [4 including filler pipe] & blow away from the tank.

Any more wisdom is truly appreciated, thanks again.

I've had the same problem. sometimes varies depending on station. for me just changing the angle of the nozzle will make it work.
