Cold Air Intake Opinion

WELL I NEED A OPINION ABOUT THIS INTAKE KIT FROM EBAY I THINK IS A GOOD CHOICE FOR THE PRICE AND ITS FOR A 2008 YARIS SEDAN... SO THANKS IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME...

Your Yaris should already have a cold air intake. The stock intake draws cold air from either the fender or the front of the vehicle while these so-called "CAI"s do nothing but draw air from inside the engine compartment where the air is hot.... and it's also got a shiny intake tube. But if you like that kind of stuff then go for it, but if not, your stock system should outperform the so-called CAI.

My 2009 Yaris's stock intake draws air from behind the crossmember that holds the radiator, so I expect it's mostly breathing warm air that's come through the radiator. Simply sticking a hose on the end of the air horn and running it down below that front baffle would get you "cold" air.

A cold air intake will get you a little bit of extra power at wide open throttle, but gives no benefit in any other circumstance.
