07 Yaris ECM clear

I changed the serpentine belt... it ran rough after..low idle.. threw code P0011
advanced timing issue..... I tried removing negative battery terminal twice.. runs but not smooth.... will this improve or..?? some people take both battery cables off and ground the Positive on the neg.. I dont want to do this but could I ground the Pos on some metal without worrying..?? I am not sending capacitor juice back thru the ECM... Murphys law
says something will fry..
hey experts and mechanics..what do you think??

Grounding the pos wire to the neg wire is the same as grounding it anywhere on the car, if nothing fried with 12V between them then nothing should happen with no power

This code is not related to changing the belt so you might actually have a problem. If you can check the code can you not erase it with the scanner you used?

If it happened after the changing the belt then it's probably the oil control valve (behind the alternator). It's either broken or disconnected.
