2000 Echo now starts, but P0172

So after I replaced my battery and subsequently couldn't get the 2000 Echo to start, (see this thread), I decided to go out and try it today after about a week of it sitting doing absolutely nothing. It very nearly started on first try: after some additional cranking and a little pedal pumping, I got her started up!

I let it idle and grabbed my OBD-II tool. Even after warming up fully, I've got short term fuel trim at about -12 to -14% and long term fuel trim was -19.5%, timing at about 10.5 degrees (these are what I'm recalling from memory, I'll post exact figures as well as other data from my laptop if needed). After a couple of times turning off the car and seeing if it would start again (it fired right back up), the trim was still at this level. Wait, there's more: now, I've got a pending DTC of P0172.

The Toyota shop manual has a whole section on P0171, but not P0172...so I'm a little stuck now. I did a basic "jiggle the electrical connectors" diagnostic in the engine compartment, and pulled out the air filter. The filter had a little bit of old dead grass in it and was all around grimy, so I'm off to get a new one right now. What else should I be checking out?

Thanks!

Oops, sorry. I already knew what these two codes mean but I forgot that to most everyone they are still just codes and didn't specify their meaning in my message.

Anyways, I've got a new air filter in and the last several times running the car the pending DTC P0172 (too rich) has gone away. At warm idle my short term fuel trim is still mostly negative, it was in the -4% to -12% range after warming up and then in the 3% to -6% range after I drove the car around the block. Long term fuel trim has been at -11% to -20% at these times. Are these values OK or is there still a problem afoot?
