Good afternoon,
Quick question. Does anyone know if Sylvania makes a rear turn signal bulb to replace the OEM yellow bulb? I have bought the front turn signal bulbs (
see picture at the end of this post) at O'Rileys Auto Parts, and I see that Advance Auto Parts sells the Back-Up Light (7440ST), and the High-Mount Stop Light (921ST), but everything that I see says that the stock lightbulb replacement Silverstars for the back-up and the trun signal are the same bulb, and that can't be true. One is yellow for the turnsignal and the backup one is clear. They are the same exact shape and size (the stock ones), but different colors of course.
Ideally, I'd like to have both the rear turn signal bulbs replaced with the blue colored Silverstars that glow amber when lit (
like the front ones), and then have the blue colored back-up lights the same blue, but glow white when lit. Make sense?
Only one's I'm missing at this point is the Silverstar rear turn signal lamps, so I'm pretty sure they exist, but most sites say that the turn signal and backup lamp with the Silverstar name is the same exact bulb. Here are the examples of the info I already have, according to all the sites that I combined information from:
Rear Turn Signal
Stock Lamp: 992 (7440A)
Silverstar Part Number: N/A (7440's that glow amber?)
Back Up Light
Stock Lamp: 7440
Silverstar Part Number: 7440ST (glows white I'm assuming?)
The 7440ST won't work cause they glow white I think, according to what I'm reading. I'd just use the same bulb as the front turn signal, but of course they're different. The front ones are Silverstar 1157's.
One more question. Anyone know of a SUPER BRIGHT bulb that can be used as a replacement for the interior dome light, and tfor the trunk light too? Both are too dim, and I don't want to change the whole housing and everything. I've heard that they make super bright blue colored lamps that make them dramatically brighter without haveing to change the mounting. Let me know if anyone has any suggestions. Forgive me if this answer was posted somewhere already. I remember reading about it, but don't remember where.
Thanks Nation, and sorry for the book here. I'm a bit long-winded...
