Wheel Bearing Dust Cap OR Alternative

I painted the steel wheels on my 2000 Echo over the weekend, and put the wheels back on today with no intention of putting the hubcaps back on over the paint. In the center of the wheel is the hub or bearing on the front sticking through the wheel, and on the back is just a rusty plate that can be seen through the hole in the center of the wheel. I want to cover all 4 whee's centers with... what I thought would be a dust cap, which would have been fine, but not only can I not find ANYONE that sells them online or locally (exactly how my luck goes), but I'm not even sure that I can put one of those covers on the back wheels? Is that possible, or are they just for the front? Does anyone know exactly what size would be correct for my wheel bearing covers on my car, assuming that I can find the size I need? I measured the opening in the center of the wheel, and it looks to be 2 1/4", but nothing comes even close at the auto parts stores. Most are much smaller. I'm also pretty sure that the measurement of that opening is irrelevant the more I read. I think I need to be measuring something in by the wheel bearing?

If these are not to be had for my car (which I'm beginning to accept), then anyone have any suggestions for covering the centers of the wheels? The rust and wheel bearings showing through my wheels is not acceptable to me. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

Oh man, that's sweet brother! Thanks so much. A bit pricey to say the least, but at least something exist so I don't ahve to rig something. Much apprecaited! I'll check it out. Looks like a toyota part number you referenced, so I'll call the dealer and see if they can get me a few. Thanks again!

If you don't mind, I'm going to re-post this info in another forum I was reading when looking for a solution a few days ago. There were others duscussing center caps for Totoya wheels, and everyone pretty much agreed that nothing was made for steel Toyota wheels. I'm sure they'll apprecaite it too because they were talking about welding metal fence post covers (you know, the pointed ones that sit on top posts that hold chain-link fences) to the center of the wheels to cover the bearings. Thought it was inventive... but not for me. LOL

Have a GREAT Friday everyone!
