problem filling gaz echo 2001

Hi , i just bought my echo 2001 4 door, hard to fill the gaz in to the gaz tank. while trying to fill up it keeps cutting.
first i thought it may be the gaz station. after try few gaz stations same result. i disconnected all the gaz filler lines and check for a blockage and did not find any blockage. all the gaz lines are ok. no damage or bent. any idea please let me know. any reply will be appriciated thanks

Nuwan,

I had the same problem with my 1998 Camry. Removed the vent hose from the evap canister and found a spider's nest blocking the vent. The nest was white and thick. Removed the nest and problem solved. This seems to be a common problem. Don't know for sure but there may be an affinity for spiders to inhabit that space.

Hopes this helps.

These cars are notorious for this problem. In fact its the number one complaint I hear.
Unless its a huge pain I wouldnt pay anyone to figure it out especially if its an expense you dont need.
