2000 echo overheating

well, it doesn't get super hot or whatever. just whenever i blast the a/c for a while, it'll flash red. i turn a/c off and it goes away. do i need to replace the thermostat or do a radiator flush? seems like the radiator fluid does need to be replaced. no knocks or weird noises. it's a great car and want it to last me through 4-5 more years so i just want it fixed. thanks!

Flush the radiator, then replace the thermostat.
While doing that take off all radiator hoses that you can and make sure they are clear and not crimped. Make sure your fans come on when they should

If that does not work replace the radiator

Never really checked but if you follow the hose coming out of the top of the radiator the thermostat should be under the housing that the other end of that hose attaches to. if you take it off (usually 2-3 bolts) dont over tighten those bolts when reinstalling as they break very easy,
